Worship at Lakeside

Walking with the Risen Jesus

We gather for worship at 9:30AM most Sundays at Lakeside College in Pakenham (see map below).

Jesus made a special point of welcoming little children and blessing them (see Mark 10:13-16 etc), so our services aim to be family friendly by giving children and teenagers opportunities to participate in various ways. Our Holy Communion worship follows the pattern of the Lutheran service which focuses on God's gifts to us through his Word and through the sacrament of the Lord’s Supper, and our response to God's gifts through prayer, praise and giving thanks. Preaching is biblical and interactive.

BAPTISM

We believe that the invitation to walk with Jesus is good news for everyone! We offer baptism for infants, children and adults who want to become part of God's family.  If you would like to join us in worship, ministry or mission, Unfortunately baptism for yourself or your children are not available.

We extend this invitation by:

  • Welcoming children and families in worship

  • Helping children and families get to know Jesus (Godly Play and family worship resources)

  • Studying God's word and applying it (Bible Studies)

  • Sharing meals and working together as community in God's mission (Missional Communities)

  • Worshiping together.

SONGS FOR WORSHIP

Many people in our church are new so they don’t know the songs for worship. If you want to listen to some of the songs that we sing together, you can use the button below to go to a Spotify playlist for our church.
